Joss Arnott Dance are a cutting edge contemporary dance company based in South East England led by Artistic Director and Choreographer Joss Arnott.
Focusing on whole body articulation and radical dynamic physicality through Arnott's fascination with the body, the intensity of the work highlights the technicality of the dancers with a clear emphasis on performance. Arnott's choreography has been described as 'possibly the perfect tonic for British contemporary dance,' libby costello, londondance and look at the extremes of body mechanics and what it can achieve technically through a fusion of influences and aesthetics including Classical Ballet and Commercial Dance, Pop Culture, Fashion and Film which have been showcased throughout the UK and Internationally.
Using innovative and unique movement vocabulary the company strive for originality and technical excellence. The company make accessible, physically and mentally demanding work which aims to excite and inspire its audiences. The company provide a unique and exciting Educational Programme which aims to develop and expand people's knowledge of contemporary dance and how accessible it can be.
Joss Arnott Dance is currently in partnership with South East Dance who commissioned the company's most recent work '24'. The company are also supported by Dep Arts Ltd. whilst on their Incubate programme, as well as many organisations and agencies across the world.
